What it is: A class through the City of Austin’s Economic Development Department that covers five essentials for small business marketing.Where and when: July 6, Entrepreneur Center of Austin, 4029 Capital of Texas HighwayWhy it’s worth attending: Learn the right strategies and tactics to maximize success and avoid wasting valuable time and money. This class is taught by a University of Texas instructor, and counts toward the 6 course requirement needed to earn your Business Skills Certification.Cost: $50
Interviewing and Hiring Employees
What it is: A class through the City of Austin’s Economic Development Department that covers how to find the best fit for your business.Where and when: July 7, Entrepreneur Center of Austin, 4029 Capital of Texas HighwayWhy it’s worth attending: This course will teach you how to develop your own structured interviewing techniques, help you to differentiate between behaviors and traits, and show you how to write effective behavioral based questions so that you can prepare to ask the right questions when interviewing a potential employee. This class also looks at the legal environment of hiring and will help you to create a defendable hiring process. This class is taught by a University of Texas Instructor and counts toward the 6 course requirement needed to earn your Business Skills Certification.Cost: $40
